Hi,

How do you increase the size of the comment box for when a user gives reputation? I have seen it extended to 3 lines on a site before.

Also some smart user has managed to write a little code to remove the character limit in the reputation comment. How can I block this?

Thanks

That sounds like something I'd take up at vB.com...

I will do - thanks for the advice.

But with the comment box size - is there a file somewhere where the size is specified? Or would it need to be a plugin?

I honestly don't recall ever seeing a specified size for the comment box.

I know it's definitely possible...

I assume it's parameters must be specified in the config files, but I have no idea where to look... How do you edit the character limit for rep comments?

It's definitely not in the config.php file.

It'll be lurking in a template or php file somewhere, though.

Set Admin CP > vBulletin Options > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments to Yes.
Load a page with the reputation box that's bugging you.
View the source code.

That, at least, will get you started with the right template. You'll be able to backtrack from there.

Ah, cheers Dave - I got it.

Here's the code:

<input type="text" class="bginput" "size="80" maxlength="250" name="reason" id="reason_2"/>

I have no problems making it longer (entering the size field), but I want to make multiple lines. Does anybody know how to make it bigger in the vertical direction?

Thanks
