Just remove all instances of this and it should work fine on 3.5.x.

Can I ask how this does what it does?
I like to understand what I'm sticking into my server before it's served ;)

It changes any eBay links posted on your forum to ones that are linked to your AuctionAds account, see the AuctionAds section on here for more information.

:D
I understand what, I'm concerned on how...
I actually assume it's something akin to the censoring options over something like .htaccess or something funny like that.
*shrug*
I'll have my webby guy look at it, as I'm clueless (which leads to very odd bouts of paranoia).
EDIT: HA! I just realized you are the guy that wrote it... it's all good, and I'll be installing this either way. I was just curious as to how it functioned.

This doesn't seem to work for threads that have been posted before this hack was installed - any way of updating those links as well?

No real reason. auctions expire in 10 days.

Joey,
There is a real reason - while this site may not have a lot of members posting ebay auctions, one of my sites does. I have many threads in the last few days alone that would benefit from this, however it's no bid deal - at least it's good to know that from here on I might be able to make a penny or two for them :)

good to hear
I added AuctionAds to a couple forums on my flooring site and they looked real good. Then I added this hack. I don't know if this is what's causing it, but now where the AuctionAds are supposed to be, all I have is a big white box.

The links work though. I certainly don't want the links at the expense of the ads though.

Don't fret Jim, this is a fairly standard practice. Auction Ads seems to go down on a regular basis. Frustration abounds.
