There's not an option for this in vB. Currently only admins are permitted to change a members' username.
I don't know of a hack for this, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. You'd have to do a search at vBulletin.org

I've seen that. It's just a request mod tho. Admin will still have to change the username.

How about if you made their username real small, and allowed a custom title which you made real big. Could be done by modifying the postbit template.

Allowing members to just keep changing their usernames sounds like a reciepe for disaster and confusion, it's limited to admins for a reason.

To my knowlege, that would take a custom hack.

As paul says - thats a recepie for disaster. If you let them change, nobody will know who anyone is -

Yes, BUT This is a ONLINE Tournament, We have too many members, to Run around changeing their usernames, every time they get a new rank, etc

Regardless - you cant do it without a custom hack --

You might want to contact an admin at vBulletin.org and let them know that you are having trouble with your account.

I had that when I started. Something about a different email address on record at vB.com vs vB.org - Solved by adding the email address at .org to my profile at .com - or vice versa. It was a while ago.

It took less than 24 hours to resolve. I expect reporting the issue might speed things up too.
