Ad Serving & Scheduled Maintenance

From the AuctionAds Blog~

One of the unfortunate downsides to explosive growth is that you find yourself running into new and unexpected limitations. As a result, AuctionAds has experienced some unplanned downtime as we have grown past our most optimistic projections. We know that downtime is unacceptable, and we’re working hard to prevent any outages in the future.

In anticipation of some major changes, we are forced to set a scheduled maintenance window from 1am (CST) to 3am CST Tuesday July 10th. Ad serving during this time may be affected partially or completely. Rest assured we’ll be working as hard as we can to minimize the downtime, and maximize the effectiveness of this maintenance window. Thanks for your understanding during this amazing growth period.

Also a reminder about official AuctionAds support - if you have questions or require support please email support@auctionads.com or use the contact form (http://www.auctionads.com/contact) on the site. Forums are a great place to discuss AuctionAds, but we just don’t have the staff to monitor every forum. This blog also should not be considered an official support vehicle, as we are unable to properly track support issues via blog comments.

Well something has gone very wrong after their scheduled maintenance. It has been suggested on another Forum that they are having problems with their images.

I have received two clicks today but with the same number of impressions and time of day I should be up to at least 30.

It's working fine for me now. It loads a little faster.

I just installed this today and already getting quite a few missing images (off and on)... and it slows the site down when the there is no connection to AuctionAds. I noticed the same thing here at vB-FAQ... no images and slow page loading, but at the same time I was surfing another site on my server and it was fine.

I think they spread the load around, yesterday I was half way back to normal but today it's turned to crap again.

Missing images, pages loading so slow that you have moved on before AA shows, non relevant ads showing even though I am targeting categories with thousands of auctions running.

I might be bitching about it but only because it's frustrating .... long term after they get these issues sorted, which they will, I think I will be happy with them.

By the way .... AA's site is down again.

AuctionAds is run on several servers, so its possible that one could crash and the others still run, which would explain why ads are on one site and not another.

Its been a few weeks since ive noticed any serious problems, I expect this will be taken care of quickly.

I see no images on my site from my AuctionAds. There is absolutely no link to the correct keywords either - this is totally useless for me at the moment.

I like AA, and will keep it, but they really need to get their act together.

I'm upset all around. I believe it would be perfect, since I run a niche product-based site that has a significant eBay market. Somehow, over the week I've used it (I'm new to the program), it has registered nearly 6,000 clicks, yet $0.00 in revenue. No one at auctionads seems to want to respond, save the "Change your keywords, they must not be converting", even though I know for sure that someone clicked on a link and directly won the item and paid Paypal over a week ago.... And the downtime is really, really lame.

I can tell you, it takes a little while for the money to start flowing...

I also know, there are some big things in the works. The outages are growing pains. (yes, they are a pita for me as well) I hate seeing them. But it is something that will get fixed in time.
