* What is the site about (theme)?
Amped-Tournaments is a Graphics and Gaming site that brings the two community's together. Amped is currently hosting online gaming tournaments for games such as Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Shadowrun, GRAW 2, etc (more tournaments will be opened when more games come out). Our cash tournaments are going to open soon as well.
* How did your forum get started / Why did you start it?
It got started about a month and a half ago with over 1000 members and over 120+ users online a day (plus a lot of visitors).
* What hacks do you have installed and what do they do?
We have multiple hacks installed like a XboxLive Leaderboard (its a gaming site so....lol), a SOTW hack, how many members online in past 24 hours, some template changes (like legend and navbar etc), vBShout (shoutbox), iShop and iCash (you get points for posting and yu can use them in iShop (point shop) ), Donation System (to dontate to site), comment peoples profiles, Arcade (v3 arcade)....and some other stuff that aren't really relivant.
* What makes your site unique?
Our free gaming tournaments include prizes such as site points and MicrosoftPoint Cards for the whole team!
There are gaming discussion forums, and a gaming agency, (like mob or fbi), where we sponsor teams, and they represent us in return. (a example is Amped: Team FeaR).
Clans, teams, or whomever, may request graphics like sigs, banners, avatars, userbars, etc. from our talented designer team.
We also have a entertainment and video zone to post gaming montages, music videos, or just something random, as well as discuss, movies, music, sports, etc.
* Tell us about your members, what makes them special?
They are a mix of designers and gamers. They all get along and work together to solve board issues. (the staff).
* Why should your forum win this contest?
For a forum to be this active in such little time and to be taking it this far, i think is qute amazing, and deserves to win...There is really nothing else like this out there. Plus our site has been featured on MLG's VoD (major league gaming) cause a clan we sponsor wore shirts there.
