Customizing The User CP

You know when you click onto the User CP link, and it takes you to a page with the links down the left site and New Subscribe Threads in the middle. Is there away i can change what shows up first, so insteed oif New Subscribed Threads Showing up it goes straight to Prive Messages or What ever i specifie?

Also how do i do the drop down User CP like here on vBFAQ?
