Here goes my try at the contest ;)
* What is the site about (theme)?
Well, free computer help, server help, gaming support is what we are all about, we don't ask for anything in return for our service and we have a friendly community too.
* How did your forum get started / Why did you start it?
Computer Forumz got started back in August 2006, when many big computer sites I used were just too overcrowded and users had to keep of posting threads multiple times to get help and support and this was really frustrating both for members and staff at these forums.
So, I knew I could help with this and created my own forum, I instantly got inundated with queries and my staff and members were pleased to help out in an environment that is friendly and not too overcrowded.
* What hacks do you have installed and what do they do?
vBSEO - SEO your vbulletin installation.
Infobar - Alerts visitors to register on the forum.
Guse Tracking - Track Guest visits.
Invites System - An automatic system which gives your users a limited number of invites that they can give out. When this system is enabled, regular registration without invites is restricted.
Infocenter - Show a neat InfoCenter to give users information quickly!
vbpostcheck - Checks for new posts in thread since you started your reply and alerts you if you miss a post that has been posted while you have been typing.
Arcade- Well, for users to play games and chill-out.
* What makes your site unique?
Good strong community, not too many members asking for support at once so support is super fast and of course it's free. Most support queries get answered within 6 hours and are completed within 24 hours.
* Tell us about your members, what makes them special?
They really keep the community together, they are knowledgabkle willing to learn and williing to help others"
* Why should your forum win this contest?
Well, where else do you have such a bright, knowledgable community that welcomes and helps new members and greets them, also you get free tech support!
