The forum is for 3wheeled ATV riders, racers, restorers, and general enthusiasts. We've had a forum for for almost 10 years (Since 1999) and have went through numerous software changes. We now have nearly 10,000 members representing every state in the US and countries like Canada, Australia, The UK, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland, Uruguay and the Netherlands.
Upper tier members include a former writer for the publication "3Wheeling Magazine" printed 1980-1987, Several retired factory racers for big names like Honda, and Yamaha. Since 3wheeled ATVs have not been mass produced for nearly 20 years, finding accurate information and replacement parts has become problematic. Users on my forum have organized numerous "Group buys" with aftermarket companies to make parts otherwise not available. They have engineered new designs and constructed new parts themselves, all in an effort to keep this niche sport progressing 20 years after the major OEMs left it.
I've installed a few hacks on this forum to add to its functionality, they are:
Watermark attachments
Sort threads by start date
(For our classifieds section, relieved the problem of people constantly bumping threads to hog the top half of the page)
Miserable Users
Eggdrop IRC Manager
(For real time stats updating on the happenings of our private IRC network)
Zoints Forumban
Rules and User Agreements Hack
(Also used in our classifieds section, works as a release waiver in the event there is a sale/trade gone bad. It was also used in a forum that seemed to continually having issues and arguments starting. Served as a good reminder for everyone of the rules and their penalties for breaking them)
EZ Archive Ad System
(This got me started with Google Adsense before I finally decided to move it onto the full forum)
Mass PM Members
(For forum announcements, upcoming major events/rides/get togethers the forum has planned, etc)
Do Not show whos online for guests
(Temporarily turned off)
