Whats the best shout/chat box to install. I had vbshout, but ive heard there were security risks with it and it seems to me that it slows down the forum page load. So my question, is there a less load intinsive shoutbox, that looks good, and allows me to have complete control of who shouts in it?:)

I don't know of any other ones that work off usergroup permissions.
At any rate, there's only 2 or 3 I think and you'll find them at .org.
Oh wait, I think there's one at www.vbhackers.com (http://www.vbhackers.com) too.
They all have pretty much the same security risks tho. I don't recommend them.

Actually I have heard that Inferno Lite is the most secure apart from its pro version which is $30 bucks. I have heard the vbshout is the most insecure, but I know of a site that has used it for at least a year with no one hacking that site (perhaps because its not a well known board or because no one could be bothered).
The downside to Inferno Lite is that there is no archive. If I had known that before I installed it, well, I probably wouldn't have. Also, the text in Inferno Lite is smaller than VB Shout 2.0 which is the second draw back.

At the time of my reply above, I wasn't using a chatbox. But I've since installed this one on TalkOhio and it works great.
