Hey all

Someone is asking me if I know what species of bird this is. It was taken in Wisconsin USA.

Can anyone help identify which bird it is?

Eastern Kingbird

(be sure to add EASTERN to the google search, or you'll get the western version, which is like a completely different looking litte guy)

Not really. It's just that it's easy to fake while online ;)

I'm an avid hiker, camper, and all around nature lover (I'm a tree-hugging druid (http://www.forestoftsalagi.com/) :p ) so I have a handful of identification books. I just thumbed through the bird book till I found one that looked close & fit the region, then googled for further information.

I'd have said that in my original answer, but *shrug* I was hoping no one would call me out, so thanks :secret:

I'm yet to do the upgrade aswell, I had all weekend to do it, but fear won.

$100 says that some of my hacks end up not working and I'll have to disable them all one by one to find the issue.

Then there's the whole back up the data base thing, I've backed up with the backup feature in the AdminCP to get the .sql file, but perhaps other stuff needs backing up to, then that brings me to the while SSH connection things, which is another thing I've never done, then that brings me to the whole navbar template thing which my default skin ALWAYS gives me trouble as it isn't styled 'default'.

Computer troubles are the worst. Perhaps might get a shrink to be with me when I do do it, or a team of.

lol, you can tell I've gone through the potential problems in my head then.

ReRoute Error on lines *all*, PHP/MySQL collapse, forced format complete, sector G4 Variable 3.64 impossible, Boot Failed. No OS found.

These are the errors of the upgrade I am predicting.

Do a Search for Beyond Compare ITs a way to compare the new files with your old ones before you do anything drastic

really gives you piece of mind

I might just edit the 'powered by vBulletin' text to say 3.6.8.

Perhaps I could trick the sever.

LOL Good One ! Did you servive the 3.6.7 release ,,,then the quickly launched 3.6.7PL1 Fiasco ?

Them were my first ever upgrades , When it says templates out of date dont click OK to make them go away... Bad Idea !

Thanks for the confusion.

Are you serious?
Just replace the 3.68 with "None of your Damn Business Version"

Or perhaps 'latest version' , 'eternal version' or 'best version'.

Yes when you upgrade in the admin CP it will say how many templates are still your Old ones as they dont over write , Dont just say OK or what ever to accept the new version cause it will over write your "good" templates , Click compare and edit all your old changes that you made on to the new template then accept the new one , repeat 88 times and that parts done ..

You still have to worry about uploading the php files if you have php edits , Compare the new with old and see whats different

Am i right here Guys and Gals?

Peggy

ugh I never, EVER, edit my php files... big no no...

Thanks for the valuable info DM, I probably would of clicked OK as well.

Also I think I have some PHP edits. Knew I should of kept a record.

Will have to recheck all the hacks that are installed and make a list of all the edits they have. I'm guessing the only files will could need re-modding are the ones in the upgrade. Will have to check how many there are.

Thanks.

Never ever ? You have to to connect to the database ;)

DieselMinded

I Think the trick is to put a

<-----------This Mod--------------->

Before and after all the edits you make replaceing this mod with the hack so when you compare you can just cut and paste ....

Im not sure how to format this but i see it on some mods and it dont effect the scripts any ....

How do you do this ???

Peggy

I'm talking about manually editing them, silly. Installing mods that require a php.file edit.
No way.

Thats the Orange Cone Bird of Michigan , They Can only Land on Orange cones So they only dwell in the land of Failed Road Maintenance .

I'm originally from Michigan so I can understand how they would find the road ways there as a natural habitat. I mean, 1 in 4 roads is under construction currently...accept Detroit (they have not repaired any of their roads since 1974)

accept Detroit (they have not repaired any of their roads since 1974)

I went up to detriot and the roads were so bad that you could see through bridges and see other cars under you , Them roads were the worst ever and everyone was crazy , I was doing like 90 in the slow lane with people behind me flashing there lights and blowing there horns
