I was a bit disapointed I was a bit disappointed

br /I must first say that Craig's book about PerformancePoint Server is a great introduction book to monitoring and analytics with PerformancePoint Server. For people like me that are looking for more on the planning side of the product I was disappointed. Only one out of 10 chapters contained information about planning the rest of the +300 pages is about various aspects of monitoring and analytics.
br /I think that the statement from Russ Whitney Development Manager tells everything about the book.
br /"An excellent introduction to PerformancePoint Server"
br /
br /For people interested in planning they should choose another book.
PPS 2007 I like the book. The section beginning on page 215 was especially useful since there is a definite lack of information regarding Performance Point Server 2007. I liked this more than the Rational series because it was presented more clearly and easier to read. I recommend it to anyone interested in PPS 2007.
Best guide to PPS2007 This is a great guide for PPS2007. Craig Utley has done a thorough job covering PPS Monitoring Analytics and Sony Jose's section on PPS Planning is very helpful. Solid Quality Mentors distributes this book to students of PPS2007 classroom courses as post-training reference material. Enjoy!

Excellent overview of PerformancePoint and BI This is an excellent text if you are looking into moving toward the Microsoft BI platform. The book starts with a nice introduction which includes an overview of data warehousing, ETL, and cube creation. It then moves into quite a bit of detail with PerformancePoint.

br /Craig has a very conversational style of writing which was very much appreciated. (sometimes these types of books can be very dry)
br /
br /Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking to purchase or implement PerformancePoint.
