 Compact no-nonsense book
Although I've been using CS3 for some months now, every chapter of the book offered some of those rare "hidden gems" which one simply doesn't find without being pointed at them. And while many books are somewhat bloated with stuff one knows anyway, this is a true expert's book for people who rate content above word count.
Photoshop CS3 Up to Speed
Ben Willmore writes an indepth, fun review of the
br /new aspects of Photoshop CS3. It is extremely thorough and
br /well thought-out and especially appropriate for those
br /already familiar with CS2. I highly recommend it!
Once more, Willmore exceeds expectations
This book is exceptionally well organized, wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated. It is tightly focused on the differences from CS2---CS3.

br /Each difference is carefully explained. New feature treatments include illuminating and fully illustrated how-to's. Willmore is a master Photoshop teacher, and he writes as well as he teaches.

br /As for the book's design, it is a gorgeous piece of work, a model of how software books should be designed and illustrated.

br /In my opinion, if you are moving from CS2 to CS3, and don't have this book, you are hurting.
Super fast start to PS CS3
Forget the 2 inch thick 'bibles'. This book will give you the best start in picking up PS CS3. When you are done with this book buy "One-On-One" to expand your PS CS3 knowledge.

Best book on PS CS3 if you use CS2
Photoshop is a deep product, and if you have been working with it for a while you likely already have a number of very thick How-To books. Being reluctant to purchase yet another thick, expensive Photoshop book, I picked up this. Fantastic! Covers all the new stuff in depth, and better than some of the other books I have. (I didn't experience any quality issues as mentioned in other reviews.)
