Excellent book! This is exactly what I need. I don't have to read it cover to cover, I just look up what function I need to do and find the page and it tells me how to do it. Thanks Curtis D. Frye!
Great training manual This was ordered for a colleague who needed to learn Excel 2007 within a couple of days and make the jump from Office 2000. This manual helped her to learn the tasks that needed to be immediately accomplish and has served as a great reference manual.
ADVISORY: DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!! This book is not for anyone new to Excel 2007. It was written with advance users in mind. Nowhere could I find in the book exactly how to get started with Excel; a step by step guide. I'm still struggling with Excel, yet am finding some knowledge through instructional lessons on youtube.com. So if you've never used Excel before, here's my hard learned advise:
br /skip this worthless book and go to youtube.com and type in excel. There's all kinds of lessons there.
Good Guide for Transition to Excel 2007 This book serves as a good guide for the transition to Microsoft Excel 2007 from earlier versions of Excel. Excel 2007 offers a user interface that differs significantly from earlier versions of Excel, and this book offers a good walk-through of the features and functionality of Excel, with a strong emphasis on the new user interface of Excel 2007.

br /I am a frequent and long-time user of Excel (and the author of a book on financial modeling using Microsoft Excel) and I found "Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Plain Simple" to be helpful in making the transition from an earlier version of Excel to Excel 2007.

br /This is an introductory book, but the layout and manner of presentation make it accessible and easy to use. I recommend it to Excel users making the switch to Microsoft Excel 2007.
