VMWARE ESX server: advanced technical design Guide It did not meet my needs - only covering ESX 2.5 - in my view content is out dated. I was looking for VI 3 and ESX 3.5 material.
OUTSTANDING! A very well written VMware primer that allows for additional in-depth understanding and awareness of this disruptive technology -
Good, But Out of Date I bought the book trying to learn VMware for the first time. Most of what it refers to is version 3.01 and mentions that iSCSI is not supported. Um, it is now.
So it gave me a great basic understanding. But many features now included in 3.0.2 are not included.
Good book and he makes some examples quite easy to understand, but the technology has passed it by.
I will buy the next version if it is discussing version 3.5 and all the other flavors VMWare has forked it in to now.
Excellent ESX resource for a beginner This reference guide is an excellent resource for someone who is just learning about the VMware ESX environment. It is simple to follow and rather thorough. I recommended this product to all the engineers under my direction.
Excellent Book I have a technical background but no experience with VMware. This book provided a great insight into how ESX works. Parts of it were more technical then I need for an overview, but for an administrator it would be great. I highly recommend this book.
