Davis hits a bulls-eye with this book Greg Davis hits a cosmic bull's-eye with this insightful work on Islam. Written in reader friendly fashion, Davis superbly supports his thesis that Islam is an intrinsically violent religion. His quotes are outstanding, his historical facts are accurate and his conclusions are painfully precise. This work is a brutal broadside to ubiquitous misinformation campaign that proclaims that Islam is a religion of peace. Another book, "Bleeding for Allah, Why Islam will Conquer the Free World" remarkably echoes the same sentiments.
br /A must read for Americans.

Book of Sensationalism? I was blown away by Davis' description of Islam. He claims to describe Islam based on its roots in the Quran and Hadith. This is problematic in the first place because it presents Islam, a diverse and multi-faceted religion, as monolithic. However, despite his claim, in fact he spends considerable time giving a one-sided view of the practice of Islam in history and modern times, neglecting to treat historical and modern interpretations of Islam that are not violent or to give a comprehensive picture of certain practices, e.g. the dhimma system. His treatment of the Quran, meanwhile, relies on a selective understanding of abrogation as well as on verses taken completely out of context. As for Hadith, he ignores debates about Hadith transmission and, more importantly, presents an incomplete view of Mohammed's campaigns in order to portray Mohammed as a war mongrel. The book is full of inaccuracies and sensationalism, resulting in grossly irresponsible writing that only promotes ignorance, intolerance, and racism.
mindless dribble and conjecture This book is absolutely ridiculous. Instead of truly investigating this subject, this guy merely states his own personal prejudice. Don't waste your time with this book.
Scared the ghost out of my body This book is an eye opener. There will be a before and after in my life regarding having read this book. I was just not aware of the peril that Islam represents to our Christian-Western civilization. The author does a great job explaining why Islam is not a peaceful religion, in fact, Islam is as much a political system as it is a religion. Politically, Islam is bent on world domination as much as Fascism and Communism once did. If you are not already planning to become a Muslim, ignore this book at your own risk.
A good beginners guide to learning true nature of Islam Gregory Davis has written a book that will hopefully dispel the most common misperception of Islam as a religion of peace. In no way does Davis proclaim all Muslims are violent or fundamental but he does detail the struggle between one set of values and another and how Islam is believed by Muslims to be the only acceptable religion. The reader will learn that there is no freedom of religion in Islam and how Muslims have a duty to Allah to replace all other religions with Islam through whatever means necessary.

br /While some of the more moderate Muslims will sit back and condemn us infidels for being "intolerant" to their beliefs (just read some of these book reviews!)they are also looking the other way at violence committed in the name of Allah. Muslims that believe fundamentally actively seek the subjugation or destruction of all other religions. It is something that the Western World must come to grips with to combat it.

br /This is an excellent book for anyone just starting to question what they've been told to believe about Islam and just how much it contradicts with what they see. The book is a fast read and will hopefully leave the reader wanting more information.
