VMWare Deficiency I agree with previous reviewer.
I was looking for more comprehensive coverage of the predominant Virtualization technology, but was left with a sense of dissapointment.
The biggest benefit I can see in its coverage is regarding the API and scripting it. I am a user of HP Rapid Deployment Pack, and am looking to gain maximum benefit of packaged scripts. This book appears to cover the topics I need in that area.
However as coverage regarding the major elements and benefits of VMWare goes I am sorely dissapointed. It appears to only cover ESX server itself. It does not cover the benefits VMWare has above that in regards to HA, DRS, VMotion in anything meaningful.
weak coverage of vmware The book explains microsoft and xen pretty well. However VMWare technologies are not covered in detail. Considering that VMWare is the most dominant player in virtualization, this is a big weakness in the book.
