MS Project Experts Know Their Stuff I have read several of their books and they're all good. This series Project 2007 based is done in larger print (good for us baby boomers) and is done in a training class style with exercises. Project Server is a tough application to get your arms around, MS Project Experts not only does a goods job helping to understand that but their web site is tops too.
Good content but physically unwieldy The content is good however this book is physically about 50% larger and heavier than it needs to be. Was this book written to accommodate aging managers with poor eyesight? This book gives me a backache. I will never purchase another book from this publisher again.
Screen shot book This is a big book with mainly huge screen shots, a bad index and quite some topics not addressed. Even worse is the fact that the screen shots are based on sample data you won't get.
If you want to make a quick start, don't go for this book.
You NEED this book! As an EPM implementor and PMO Director at a technology company, my advice to you is this: If you are implementing MOPS 2007, buy this book!
It is the most comprehensive and well-organized book available for MSPS. It contains practical advice, not just an overview of capabilities and options.
I purchased copies of this book for all people in the PM role, and they are using it as their reference "bible".
Note: I am in no way affiliated with MSProjectExperts, nor am I receiving any kind of compensation for this endorsement. These books have saved us tons of time and rework!
Best Handbook for Managing Projects on Project Server 2007 I have read many book on managing projects using Project Server 2007. This is by far the best. It has great explainations along with easy to follow by step by step procedures. I have decided to use it as my training guide in all my trainning classes on how to manage projects using project server.
