This books looks very helpful but I have been taking several courses and have not been able to use it yet.

Having learned how to open my desk top and go to E-mail msges, I hit a
br /block. Being frustrated to learn more, visited Barnes and Noble, found
br /this beginners book for Windows XP FOR Seniors and am now learning how to
br /maneuver with disk cleanup, defrag, send holiday cards etc. etc. It's
br /wonderfully simple. I'm 85 years old and, now, pretty active into my
br /computer. When I conquer Word Pad, I'll buy the next edition.

Just the book for my class
I have been asked to teach a class for the non-computer folks at my retirement community. I purchased this book for each member of the class, and plan to use each chapter for a specific class session. It has very straightforward explanations of the basic computer operations and Windows XP, fully illustrated. I think it will be perfect to help me guide some seniors to computer literacy.
My sister and I
My sister hasn't been to my place for over 10 yrs. She visited me this month and I had this book on my desk.When she flipped through it,instantly she wanted it copied down the address to purchase it.It is so easy to understand and if you make a mistake ,it tells you what to do to get back on track again. I think it is a wonderful book for beginners.
