Thread: Link To Us Page

  1. #1

    Default Link To Us Page

This is a simple hack that lets you add a Link To Us page to your forum. You can put up to 3 different banners or buttons on the page. If you just want 1 banner showing then you can turn off the other 2.

    It uses no plugins.
You just import the product and upload the linktous.php file to your forum root directory. Your settings are located in your vboptions in adminCP. You can edit your navbar to add the link to us link. The instructions are included in the zip file.

I would say it only takes about 3-5 minutes to install this hack. If even that long.

All I ask is that you leave the line in the footer on the page. Do not remove it please.

If you have any questions please ask. I will do my best to provide support.

Here is a demo for you to see it live:

Very nice! As soon as I get some decent banners created, I'll have to use this.

Thanks, I hope to add more features to it later.

Are you allowed to add html codes and bbcodes as well or no?

You cannot add BBcode. You could play with the template for this and add more HTML if you wanted to.

Why can't you add BBcode? So, I can't play with the template and possible implement bbcode?

Chris is saying that you can edit the html template if you want, but BBCodes do not work....

Because I do not see any reason why you would need BBcode in this hack, so I did not add the feature. I saw BBcode as pointless with this one. IMHO

As I mentioned, you can play with the template all you want and add features if you would like.

Just remember though, if you make edits to the template then the support for this hack is not guaranteed.

    Good Luck.....

It is located in the footer template. Just locate the words contact us in your footer template and then add your link above or below it or where ever you want it at.

A hint also is to play with the Search in templates option in your adminCP. You could have found the contact us location very easily.
