i think it's a conspiracy

no, well, i had what seemed like bots or spammers sign up, add a sig for like a health site and post in health related topics. did the same thing, make a half decent post on topic.
i delete them...
i have noticed lately that im getting new sign ups that have some kind of advertisement in their signatures. they are simple text links but they seem to be relevant ads like google ads or something. when these people post, they are just posting anything to seem like they know what they are talking about.
now, i looked at one of their profiles in the admin section and their is nothing showing in their signatures.
can these be bots ? could it be a google thing ?

I file these under the "probably a group of less than minimum wage making computer slaves in a foreign country getting paid to post" category, and ban them for their troubles.

If the posts actually add to the thread then I leave them, though I make sure any posted links are relevant to the actual post. If a 'fake' sig is used then I'll delete that...
You can tell a fake sig by quoting or editing the post...if it shows up, then it's fake.
You can make a fake sig by adding a _______________ to the bottom of the post then adding what would look like a sig after that.
Oh, I missed part of the problem in the original post I think.
Are we talking about invisible text in signatures?
-Raymond
OH, invisible text is different then what I thought (s)he was talking about!
invisible text is cool! but on most forums is hard to find
I took it as 'invisible' signatures that show up in the posts, but not in the profiles...
